Gym Named After Teacher, Former Student

Angels Camp, CA — The newly completed Mark Twain Elementary School Gymnasium has been named after former student and longtime teacher David M. Cosgrave.
School district Superintendent Rick Brewer says the district Board of Trustees unanimously approved a committee´s recommendation on the naming Thursday.
Cosgrave attended Mark Twain before returning as a teacher and coach for 34 years. In 1969 he started the sports program and has been the reason for its success over the years.
