Mother Nature Strikes Again

Sacramento, CA — An Easter weekend storm has left another foot of snow in the Sierra that delayed motorists heading over the mountain passes.
Chains were mandatory Sunday morning on all three major trans-Sierra highways: Interstate 80 over Donner Summit, U-S 50 over Echo Summit and Highway 88 over Carson Pass. A winter storm warning remained in effect through eleven o´clock Sunday evening in the Lake Tahoe area.
It´s only the latest in a string of storms that has pushed the Sierra snowpack to well above average.
