Wet Weather On Its Way To Mother Lode
Sonora, CA — The sun will soon be replaced with dark clouds as a series of wet storm systems return to the Mother Lode.
After a February that has seen rainfall totals well below normal, the National Weather Service says very wet conditions are expected this weekend.
A warm front will begin spreading light rain across the region as early as Sunday, followed by heavier rain and gusty winds into Tuesday.
In the mountains, snow levels are likely to be at or above 6,000 feet Sunday and Monday then drop late Tuesday as the cold front moves through.
By Tuesday night snow levels could lower to between 3,000 and 4,000 feet.
