Super Bowl Breakfast Raises Money For Students
Sonora, CA — A handful of Sonora High School Students will benefit from the generosity and appetites of hundreds of community members over the weekend.
The 20th annual Frank Salel Super Bowl Breakfast sponsored by the Sonora 49er Rotary club went off without a hitch Sunday.
Club member and Chairperson Scott Barry was silently supporting the Pittsburg Stealers by wearing his jersey so he still had time to help make more than 1,500 omelets.
Sonora High School Principal Terry Clark says the money raised will go to funding scholarships and other youth activities in the county.
As of Sunday morning Barry said they were on track to raising between $20,000 and $25,000.
