Numerous Mother Lode Groups Providing Free Thanksgiving Dinners

Sonora, Ca — In recognition of Thanksgiving, many local organizations will offer free dinners over the coming days.

On Wednesday night, there is a free Thanksgiving dinner from 6-8 pm at the Heart Rock Cafe on Washington St. in Sonora. Meals will be served indoors and out. For more information, contact the cafe at 533-1221 or Christian Heights Church at 532-7305.

Also on Wednesday at the Veterans Memorial Hall in Tuolumne, the Mother Lode Christian School is offering free Thanksgiving dinners from 1-5 pm. For information call Kerry Semsen at 928-4337.

On Thursday, the Sonora Alamo Club will serve its 27th annual free Thanksgiving dinner from 12-4 pm at 19421 Village Drive, East Sonora. All are welcome. Call 209-532-9838 for more information.

Thursday afternoon, volunteers of the Groveland Thanksgiving Committee will serve their 20th annual free Thanksgiving dinner from 11:30-4 pm at the Groveland Community Hall on Main St. All are welcome.

Thursday at the Rail Road Flat Community Hall is a free Thanksgiving dinner from 1:30-3:30 pm sponsored by the Friends of the Foothill Communities.
