Sonora, Ca — On Wednesday the Sonora Police Department will be keeping a close eye on the intersection of Mono Way and Greenley Rd., and the cross of Mono Way and Restano Way.
There has been a recent increase in accidents at those intersections, which have primarily been related to red light violations. The Sonora Police Department reminds residents that it is against the law to make a right hand turn against a solid red arrow traffic light. This is something officers will be watching closely.
Through grant money from the California Office of Traffic Safety, extra officers will be stationed near the intersections throughout Wednesday.
