Calif. Hunting License Gets Revamped
Sacramento, CA — The state Department of Fish and Game has redesigned the hunting license to mark its 100th anniversary this year.
The first hunting license was issued in 1907 to help conserve wildlife. A celebration will be held on Thursday in Sacramento.
A department press release says this year´s license is now available and features a retro design inspired by some of the state´s original licenses.
On display Thursday will be an original 1907 hunting license and historic photos of some of the department´s early wildlife conservation activities.
