Calaveras Discusses Cumulative Impacts Of Development
San Andreas, CA — While considering a zoning amendment Tuesday, the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors launched into a discussion about where development should be headed while a General Plan is being developed.
First off, there was an issue with the lack of water in the west part of the county where the project is located. This is the cumulative impact of a draining resource and continued residential development.
The board says it needs come to a consensus on how it should process such projects while the General Plan is being updated and while policies are being put in place regarding cumulative impacts.
A study session is in the works to do just that.
