Ebbetts Pass Scenic Byway Hosts First Event
Ebbetts Pass, CA — The Ebbetts Pass National Scenic Byway Association is holding an inaugural event for the 61-mile stretch of Highway 4.
The byway was established in 2005 along Highway 4 to Highway 89 between the towns of Arnold and Markleeville.
The association was formed to identify potential preservation, enhancement and marketing projects.
An association press release says from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., on September 15, the public is invited to travel the byway while enjoying a number of activities.
Passports will be handed out and participants can get them stamped at numerous venues. Completed passports may win prizes including an overnight stay at the Dorrington Hotel.
The release says planned activities include an arts and crafts fair, live music, art show, MiWuk basket demonstration, car show, harmonica contest, historical displays, mountain bike tour, battle of the bands and a fly casting contest.
