Several Calaveras Restaurants Caught Selling Alcohol To Minors
San Andreas, CA — Working with Alcoholic Beverage Control officers, the Calaveras County Sheriff´s Department recently conducted a decoy program to catch businesses selling alcohol to minors.
Five restaurant employees from four local businesses were caught selling to minors that were under the direct supervision of investigators. They were Mexico Lindo Restaurant in Valley Springs, Round Table Pizza in Valley Springs, Pizza Factory in Valley Springs and Dragon Palace in San Andreas.
The cases are being forwarded to the District Attorney´s Office and ABC investigators.
Those who sold to a minor face a minimum fine of $250 and 24 to 32 hours of community service. Also, ABC could take administrative action against the business´ license.
The Sheriff´s Department plans to continue the decoy program into the summer months.
