Stove Fire Causes $2,500 Damage

Sonora, CA — A stove fire caused approximately $2,500 to a home owned by Francis Lynch at 20542 Upper Hillview Drive in the Sonora area Monday afternoon.
The fire was reported at 3:25. Damage to contents was estimated at $3,000. No injuries were reported by CAL FIRE officials who credited Lynch with minimizing the damage due to his use of a fire extinguisher.
Cause of the fire remains under investigation.
