CAL Fire Dedicates New Standard Station
Sonora, CA — CAL Fire´s Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit officially dedicated its new Standard Station this morning in a ten o´clock ceremony.
Battalion Chief Barry Rudolph hosted the gathering of many current and former firefighters. Principal speakers included Unit Chief Mike Noonan and Supervisor Dick Pland.
The new complex replaces the old CAL Fire Sonora Fire Station that was located off Forest Rd. adjacent to the former Sonora Community Hospital.
The fire station and administration buildings were completed and accepted for occupancy in July of 2007 and opened for business on May 12 of this year.
Offices for a finance specialist, resource management forester and fire prevention officers are located in the administrative office.
