Stearn Selects Stearn For JPA Alternate

Sonora, CA — Sonora Mayor Ron Stearn selected himself Monday evening at the City Council meeting to serve as the alternate for the city on the Joint Powers Authority Governing Board.
Hank Russell and Bill Canning had already been selected as the city´s two primary members of what will eventually be a seven person Governing Board.
From the county side of the equation Board Chair Dick Pland and Third District Supervisor Teri Murrison have already been selected as the primaries. CAO Craig Pedro says the county´s alternate will be announced at the November 25 supervisors meeting.
Applications are currently available for members of the public to apply for the three “at large” Governing Board openings.
