New Priest Grade Truck Driver Identified

Groveland, Ca — The driver of the 1999 utility truck that overturned on New Priest Grade Thursday morning has been identified as 57-year-old Paul Morgan of Moccasin.
Morgan told the CHP that a vehicle crossed over the double yellow lines, forcing him to take evasive action. The truck went off the road and down a steep embankment and overturned. The vehicle then caught fire.
Morgan suffered broken ribs. New Priest Grade was closed down for approximately eight hours. The fire did an estimated $200,000 to the truck.
