CHP Reminder: Don’t Forget MVP Designated Driver
San Andreas, CA — The Highway Patrol is urging anyone heading out to a Super Bowl party to have designated driver lined up beforehand.
Officer Jaime Castillo in San Andreas says 12 people were killed in California last year on the weekend of the big game from alcohol involved collisions. This is three times the daily average in the state.
“That designated driver is going to either save your life or save the life of someone else,” says Castillo. “They are going to be the true MVP of the Super Bowl.”
Law enforcement also invites residents to call 911 if they spot a suspected drunk driver on the roadway.
