Stimulus Package Passes House: Mother Lode Representatives Vote Against
Washington, DC — Republican Congressional Representatives George Radanovich and Dan Lungren are critics of the $787 billion economic stimulus plan approved in the House today.
“I did not vote against economic recovery, I voted against wasteful government spending,” says Lungren. “I am disappointed with the passage of this ill advised bill.”
The package passed 246-183 with no Republicans voting in favor.
“I was proud to stand with every Republican member of the House of Representatives and seven of my Democrat friends in opposing Speaker Pelosi’s so called economic stimulus package,” says Radanovich. “The irresponsible spending in this $800 billion package is rampant.”
