CHiPs For Kids Toy Drive
San Andreas, CA– This year the CHP is once again partnering with the Calaveras County Santa’s Express Program for the 12th Annual “CHiPs for Kids Toy Drive.”
According to the San Andreas CHP, it’s an opportunity for schoolchildren and members of the community to collect and donate new, unwrapped toys for hospitalized and disadvantaged children.
“Some of the kids that often get forgotten are the teenagers,” said Rebecca Myers from the San Andreas CHP. “Things like gift cards can also be dropped off for the older kids too.”
Myers says toys will be collected in barrels now located at area schools until Friday, December 17th. Schools participating include, Albert Michelson Elementary in Murphys, Copperopolis Elementary in Copperopolis, Jenny Lind Elementary in Jenny Lind, Mark Twain Elementary in Angels Camp, San Andreas Elementary in San Andreas and Toyon Middle School in Valley Springs.
Toys can also be dropped off at the CHP office in San Andreas or the substation in Arnold until Monday, December 20th. They will then be delivered on Tuesday, December 21st at the San Andreas Town Hall for distribution.
