Capital Campaign Underway
Sonora, CA — Sonora Regional Medical Center’s capital fundraising campaign is underway.
The purpose of the $200,000 campaign is to build a therapy pool adjacent to the Physical Therapy Department.
According to S.R.M.C.’s Gail Witzlsteiner patients that will use the pool include those who have suffered a stroke, been in a serious accident, had a torn tendon, are on crutches or find themselves having to use a walker.
The 15×20 foot pool will have a retractable roof for year around use. A ramp into the pool will provide the patients with an easy access. The Hospital is hopeful of starting construction once spring has arrived.
To date $110,000 has been raised with $30,000 of that coming from a Sonora Area Foundation grant.

The Newsmaker of the Day is heard each weekday morning on AM 1450 KVML at 6:47, 7:47 and 8:47am.
