Memorial Day Activities

Sonora, CA — There are a number of events today in honor of Memorial Day.
A Memorial Day Celebration honoring the Korean War Vets will begin at 11:30 this morning at the Twain Harte arch. It will include a short parade, flag raising ceremony and hot dog picnic.
A Memorial Day salute starts at 10:45am at the Columbia Public Cemetary in the Veterans section. It will honor soldiers from the Mexican War, Spanish American War and Civil War.
At 6:30 tonight there will be a Memorial Day Concert put on by the Calaveras Community Band at Murphys Park. To learn more information click on the community section here.
