More Candidates Eye Supervisor Seats

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — Interest is high in the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisor seats. The District One, Four and Five seats will be on the ballot in June.

Four candidates have now taken out “in-lieu papers” and plan to challenge incumbent Liz Bass. They are Sherrine Brennan, Randy Cofer, Jim Garaventa and Jim Hildreth.

In District Four, incumbent John Gray is the only candidate to take out papers.

In District Five, where incumbent Dick Pland is not running for re-election, two candidates have pulled papers. They are Michael Macomber and Karl Rodefer.

More candidates will likely be added to the mix. In District Five, Jim O’Neil and Domenic Torchia have announced their intentions to run, but have not yet pulled papers.

Two judicial seats will also be up for vote in June and three candidates have now taken out in lieu papers, Gregory Oliver, Eleanor Provost and Donald Segerstrom.
