Last Day Of School Nears

Sonora, CA — As the weather heats up, thoughts turn to graduation and the last day of school. Students across the state in grades two through eleven are taking the Standardized Testing And Reporting (STAR) tests this week, but soon students will be out of school for the summer.

Gold Rush Charter is out on May 24th, The Education Option’s last day of class is May 22nd. Summerville Union High including the Connections Academy are out May 30th.

Belleview, Columbia, Curtis Creek, and Sonora Elementary Schools are out on June 5th. Sonora Union High is also out on the 5th. Sonora High Graduation is on the 6th.

Soulsbyville, Jamestown, Twain Harte-Long Barn Union, and Summerville Elementary are out of school after the 6th. Big Oak Flat-Groveland Unified (including Tioga High School) is out on June 11th. The Tuolumne County Schools school programs close June 5th but all offices remain open throughout the summer.

In Calaveras Mountain Oaks School is out on June 6th, graduation is Wednesday, June 12th. Bret Harte Union High School is out on June 7th and graduation is the same day. Copperopolis and Mark Twain Elementary Schools and the Vallecito Union School District are all out on June 7th. All the schools in the Calaveras Unified School District (two high schools, a middle school, six elementary schools and other programs) are out on June 12th.

At Columbia College graduation is Friday May 3rd in the Oak Pavilion at 6:30PM.

The next official grade school holiday is Memorial Day, May 27th.
