City Of Angels Hiring New Attorney, Administrator

Angels Camp, CA — At next Tuesday’s meeting the Angels Camp City Council will be looking to approve contracts for two key city employee roles.

According to the meeting documents of the three slated regular agenda items, two involve personnel. In the first the council will consider entering into a contract with the firm Churchwell White to serve as city attorney, beginning Jan. 2, replacing current attorney Derek Cole.

In the second, the members anticipate signing an employment contract effective Jan. 16 hiring Melissa Eads as the new city administrator, replacing interim administrator Mary Kelly, the city clerk. Eads formerly served as the Calaveras Council of Governments (CCOG) executive director.

In other business the council looks to approve reprograming of regional surface transportation program (RSTP) funding for the Raspberry Stairs replacement project. Tuesday’s meeting begins at 6 p.m. at Angels Firehouse.
