Several events will be happening in the Mother Lode over this three day weekend for many.

The 36th Annual Arnold Spring Peddler’s Faire will be held over Memorial Day weekend, May 24th and 25th in Downtown Arnold. The Ebbetts Pass Volunteer Fire Department along with over 60 booths of antiques, collectibles, hand-crafted items, gourmet foods, vintage jewelry, and more will be available. The Arnold Lion’s Club holds an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast both days from 7:30am – 11am. For hours and details view the event listing here.

Calaveras Big Trees State Park will hold the grand opening of their new Visitor Center on Saturday as well.  The new Visitor Center features a variety of exhibits and artifacts that display some of the local history of California.

A Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction for St. Patrick’s mission trip and several other small fundraisers are also listed.

On Monday, Memorial Day there will be a Celebration and Dedication at the creekside memorial in Murphys. The ceremony kicks off at 10 am with music and a special ceremony to dedicate the all new expansion of the veteran’s memorial and unveiling of the 7′ solid bronze statue. FREE lunch will be provided for all US military Veterans and a minimal fee for guests will immediately follow the ceremony as well as free movies from the WWII era. In Columbia there will also be the traditional Memorial Day Salute honoring Veterans of the Civil, Spanish American and Mexican Wars Presented by the Columbia Foot Dragoons and Grenadine Belles. Details are here.
