Fire Crews Busy Again In Motherlode

Firefighters are getting an early start to the holiday weekend with grass fires. Crews needed about 10
minutes to surround a two acre blaze at the AT and T Broadband building on Nugget Blvd. in Sonora just after 4 o´clock yesterday. No one was hurt and no
damages. Cause is under investigation.
Crews needed nearly an hour to corral a two acre blaze caused by a vehicle fire on J-59 near the Hetch Hetchy
power lines just before 5:30. No one was hurt. The vehicle was totalled. Cause of the vehicle fire is under investigation.
