Flash Flood Warnings

Sponsored by:

The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for western Tuolumne County last night. Those warnings remained in effect until 3 a.m. Saturday.

The bands of heavy rain that caused flooding in the downtown Sonora area Friday night moved on and the nighttime skies cleared up.

Forecasters say the break in the storm should last until midday Saturday.

Runoff from the heavy rains continued through the night, posing the threat of stream and creek flooding.

Weather officials advise Tuolumne County residents to stay on the alert and listen for any warnings or statements from the National Weather Service or law enforcement.
