Smoke Not A Threat

US Forest service crews have determined that smoke spotted this morning in the American Camp area came from a permitted ceremonial fire in the forest about 4 miles Northeast of Columbia. Spokesperson Pat Kaunert says the fire has ample clearance and is not a threat to wildland.
