A 15-year-old high school freshman who allegedly brought a semiautomatic handgun to his Orange County campus has been arrested along with another teen who authorities say held the weapon for him.
Sheriff´s Lieutenant John Brimmage says the .380-caliber handgun was not loaded, but the boy had two clips of ammunition with him. Brimmage says the boy felt threatened by other students at Tesoro Creek High School and brought the weapon to school to protect himself. The boy handed the gun to a 16-year-old sophomore after learning school officials knew about the weapon. Both boys were arrested yesterday.
