A suspect in an armed robbery that left two people dead in Visalia has been arrested in Utah. Jose Jesus Hernandez was arrested yesterday after asking a Utah Highway Patrol trooper to give him a ride to his van that ran out of gas. The trooper ran a check on the van and discovered it was stolen. Hernandez is suspected of being one of two men dressed in drag who robbed stores in a Visalia strip mall Thursday.
As he fled from police, one robber shot a bystander eating lunch with his wife and daughter. The shooter was then shot and killed by officers. His identity hasn´t been confirmed. The bystander later died.
