Lindh Wants Access To Cuba Prisoners

Sponsored by:

Lawyers for the so-called American Taliban will be in court Tuesday, pushing for direct access to detainees held in Cuba. The government has offered to submit questions to detainees in writing. But lawyers for John Walker Lindh say that would amount to no meaningful access at all. Lawyers for the Marin County man argue that only through direct contact can detainees confirm that Lindh played no role in the prison uprising in northern Afghanistan, and that he trained at a military base, not a terrorist camp.
