San Francisco police say the supermarket burglar dubbed “Spider-man” has been caught web-handed. Authorities caught Kristian Marine hiding in the crawl space of a market on Irving Street yesterday. A neighbor had called police after hearing glass breaking. Investigators say they believe Marine, a part-time fitness instructor, is responsible for some 55 building break-ins in the past two months. He faces 63 charges, including burglary, attempted burglary and receiving stolen property. The market marauder was dubbed “Spider-man” because he slipped through skylights or down ventilation shafts to enter buildings in the Sunset District. In one case, he had to leap a 10-foot span to reach his target. Marine blamed gambling debts for the alleged crime spree.
