Tuolumne County Joins Telecommunications Coalition
Tuolumne County Supervisors have decided to join a coalition of other rural counties that are working to get better telecommunications services.
Pat Lanthier, the president of Mother Lode Express, which is working to help local businesses through better connectivity, says that right now 99 percent of Tuolumne county has no access to high speed Broadband services.
Eight other counties are expected to participate in the coalition. Officials hope that by joining together, they can encourage companies to build more telecommunications infrastructure in rural areas.
