New Angels Camp City Staff On Board

The Angels Camp City Council appointed a new city clerk and new city treasurer to the staff roster.
Fay Perata, 55, is new city clerk and 30-year-old Monica Parker is now city treasurer. The two women replace Diana Avey, who served as both clerk and treasurer, and declined to serve another term.
Council members noted that many of the jobs´ duties have been assumed by professional staff on the city payroll, and some modifications to the city ordinance covering the posts may be considered in the future.
The clerk€™s duties may actually expand. Perata will sit in from time to time to take minutes at the council meetings.
They were both unanimously appointed to position by the city council last week.
