Murphys Man Booked For Lewd Acts

A Murphys man is behind bars today on $2.5 million bail after turning himself into Calaveras County authorities.
Sheriff€™s investigators say 42-year-old Martin Esteban Canez-Celaya is being held on three counts of committing lewd acts with a minor and one count of entering a dwelling to commit a felony.
Detectives showed the judge probable cause to raise his bail.
Celaya had worked at a Main Street Murphys business.
