The final, official results of March 4th´s Columbia Union School District special election will be presented to the Tuolumne County Supervisors tomorrow.

County clerk Tim Johnson shows the final tally was, indeed, just five votes shy of passing Measure G school bond. The $3.6 million bond measure was to fund improvements at the Columbia school campus.

County election´s office data shows 37.70 percent of registered voters cast a ballot in the special election. Those that did vote were decidedly in favor of the measure, but it narrowly failed to get the 66 percent majority needed to pass.
