Legal experts say the firing of Mark Geragos by Michael Jackson could bode well for his other high profile client – Scott Peterson.

Geragos and co-counsel Benjamin Brafman were fired this week by the pop star who said he wanted what he called “the full attention of those who are representing me” in his child molestation case Geragos is expected to be tied up for nearly six months representing Peterson, who is charged with murdering his pregnant wife Laci.

Peterson could be sentenced to death penalty or life without parole if convicted.

Geragos will seek a second move for the trial, claiming an impartial jury cannot be seated in Redwood City, which is 93 miles away from Peterson´s hometown in Modesto.

His change of venue arguments are set for May 11th. Opening statements in the trial are scheduled to begin six days later.
