San Andreas, CA — The Holiday season is always a busy one for the Mother Lode, whether it´s shopping, skiing, or hosting visitors from out of town, residents seem to stay busy.
Lisa Reynolds with the Calaveras County Visitors Bureau says this time of year draws thousands of people to the foothills.
While more than 20,000 visitors are expected in Tuolumne County after Christmas, Reynolds says several hotels are also booked in Calaveras County.
She says since Bear Valley opened a few weeks ago, the traffic has increased substantially. Reynolds believes some people just want to enjoy a good old-fashioned country Christmas.
