Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — Fire officials say no one was injured yesterday when a vehicle caught fire on Highway 108 at the junction with Highway 49.

Two engines from the CDF-Tuolumne County Fire Department responded along with one Baseline CDC crew.

The early afternoon blaze caused about $5,000 damage to a 2002 Kia belonging to Tim Fishburn of Sonora.

Officials say the fire was caused by mechanical problems in the vehicle.
