CDF Responds In Force To Soulsbyville Grass Fire

Sonora, CA — CDF says a spot fire on Longeway Road near Soulsbyville scorched about 1600 square feet of grass in a high hazard area yesterday.
CDF´s Debbie Keenan says the volatility of the area drew a large response from fire fighting officials.
She says a total of ten engines from various agencies responded to the blaze along with two hand crews from Baseline Conservation Camp, one helicopter, two tankers and a CDF air attack from Columbia.
Two bulldozers were also brought to the scene.
No injuries were reported.
