Sheriff’s Department Investigating Possible Burglary Operation

Sonora, CA — Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Deputies are looking into a possible burglary operation after several thousand dollars of stolen property was discovered at a home on Trace Road between Soulsbyville and Standard on Highway 108.

Department spokesman Robin Hunt says the discovery was made when deputies responded to a noise call at about 6:00 Thursday morning.

Hunt says that the responding patrolmen recognized several items around the property as stolen from previous reports.

Hunt says among the items recovered were a Corvette, two motorcycles, tools and various items of personal property. The total value of the items is estimated to be around $15,000.

The Sheriff´s Department placed 40-year-old Mark Antes and 42-year-old Shawnda Foster under arrest.

Hunt says the investigation is ongoing.
