West Point Woman Arrested After High Speed Chase
San Andreas, CA — A 24-year-old West Point woman is in custody after she led Sheriff´s Deputies on a high speed chase yesterday.
Authorities say officers attempted to make a traffic stop on Ruby Jeff who had two felony warrants out for her arrest.
A Sheriff´s report says the pursuit started in the San Andreas area and headed toward Angels Camp at speeds topping 90 miles-an-hour.
Authorities say CHP ended the chase by deploying a spike strip which punctured the left front tire of Jeff´s vehicle.
The blowout caused Jeff to crash her car into the front yard of a residence before she attempted to flee on foot.
Jeff was reportedly arrested a short distance away.
After being treated at Mark Twain St. Joseph´s Hospital for minor injuries, Jeff was booked into the Calaveras County Jail on charges of felony evading, resisting arrest and on the two warrants.
She is being held without bail.
