Low-Income Loans Offered For Repairs, Upgrades

The city of Sonora has announced loans are available to low-income homeowners, within the city limits, who need help with residential rehabilitation projects.

Projects like re-roofing, adding a new air conditioning system, upgrading to energy-efficient windows and doors, and the elimination of health and safety hazards.

Borrowers need to be of low income, for instance, a family of four must have an income at or below $41,000. Officials add owners of low-income rental properties can apply for the Low-Income Rental Rehabilitation Loan Program too.
