Calaveras County Crowns New “Idol”

Angels Camp, CA — Calaveras County has a new Idol champion.
Courtney Arshambo was judged the best of four contestants for her performance of Martina McBride´s “Broken Wings” at the Calaveras County Fair Saturday night.
Arshambo, who has been singing since she was three, collected a $250 check and a trophy, as well as the right to represent Calaveras County in a regional competition in September.
The runner-up was 17-year-old Bret Harte High School Junior Dusty Miller.
The other contestants were Lee Ann Martin and Mary Peterson of Valley Springs.
