San Andreas, CA — Taxpayers in the Saddle Creek Community Facilities District will save $300,000 over the next 20 years, thanks to a recent bond refinance.

The bond paid for infrastructure in the Saddle Creek area, which at build out will have roughly 1,000 homes.

Calaveras County Treasurer/Tax Collector Lynette Norfolk says the bond´s interest rate dropped from 7 to 5.1 percent

De La Rosa & Co. in San Francisco, which underwrote the bond, said the bond issue is a testament to the strength of the housing market in Calaveras County.
