Two Arrested For Burglary Thanks To Witnesses

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — A Sonora resident has been reunited with jewelry that was stolen, thanks to the sharp eye of neighbors, and the quick action of the Sonora Police Department.

On Monday night, officers responded to East Jackson Street regarding two subjects prowling around a residence.

Witnesses were able to give officers a good description of the subjects and a few minutes later, they were located and identified as 28 year old Grady Pinkevich, who is a transient, and 47 year old Katherine Fuzzell of Sonora.

When an officer approached Pinkevich to handcuff him, he jumped up and ran, so a TASER was deployed to stop him. Upon further investigation, officers determined that Pinkevich and Fuzzell had entered the residence where they had been seen and removed several items of jewelry.

The witnesses who had called the police department identified Pinkevich and Fuzzell as the subjects they had seen around the residence in question.

Pinkevich was booked for burglary, possession of stolen property, prowling, resisting arrest and violation of a domestic order. Fuzzell was booked for burglary, possession of stolen property and prowling.
