Schwarzenegger Wants '08 RNC In CaliforniaThursday, September 02, 2004 - 08:20 AM
Governor Schwarzenegger is endorsing Anaheim's bid to host the 2008 Republican National Convention. He's attending the GOP convention in New York this week, and
says that a California convention would help bring business to the state. He added that San Francisco would be a "great" site as well. Anaheim is seeking both the Democratic and Republican conventions in 2008. Competition is expected to come from Atlanta, Detroit and Tampa, Florida.
Meanwhile, Tuolumne County's Bush Cheney '04 Committee is holding a party tonight at the Mother Lode Fairground The republicans will gather at the Creekside building between 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. tonight to watch the nomination speech by President George Bush at the Republican National Convention.
