Community Invited To Fire Safe Council Meeting For Columbia Area
Columbia, CA — The Highway 108 Fire Safe Council is inviting homeowners in the Columbia area to meet and discuss fire protection, emergency preparedness, and fire prevention measures needed to protect life, property, and resources from wild land fires.
The open public meeting is scheduled to be held at the Columbia Volunteer Fire Station at 6:00pm Thursday.
The purpose of the meeting is to provide private landowners and local fire agency officials the opportunity to discuss and consider a strategic planning link between fire protection, emergency access routes, and community fire prevention measures.
The subject area consists of both public and private land accessed by Big Hill and Italian Bar Roads.
