San Andreas, CA — A special tax that would have funded $1.2 million dollars in road improvements was denied by registered voters in the Bar XX subdivision Tuesday.
There are 101 registered voters in the region known as County Service Area 2. Of that, 49 votes were for the tax and 34 were against. The tax needed two-thirds approval to win.
The $1,815 annual per parcel tax would have paid for improvements such as redesigning the entrance to the subdivision.
