Sponsored by:

Jamestown, CA– One Tuolumne resident is sure to be more careful with obeying traffic laws as well as choosing who sits in the passenger seat.

On Wednesday at about noon, Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Deputy Brandon Lowry pulled over a white 1996 Honda Civic in the area of 9th and 3rd Street in Jamestown for running a stop sign. The vehicle was being driven by Naomi Jones.

Before the Honda Civic pulled over, Deputy Lowry noticed the passenger of the vehicle, later identified as 23-year-old Joshua Willis, reached under his seat as soon as he saw the deputy behind him.

Reports indicate that after having the occupants exit the car, Lowry looked under the seat where he found a methamphetamine smoking pipe containing a useable amount of methamphetamine.

Willis was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and a methamphetamine smoking pipe and Jones was released with a warning.
