Duttons Remain In Limbo Over Unpaid Administrative Leave Status

Sponsored by:

Groveland, CA — Dawnelle Dutton says she is beside herself over her husband´s banishment to unpaid administrative leave status since September 26 in the Big Oak Flat-Groveland Unified School District.

An unknown source contacted the school district stating that Dutton had plagerized a portion of a paper while seeking his teaching credential at Fresno State University. Behind closed doors the school board voted 5-0 to move Dutton to unpaid status without discussing the issue with Dutton.

Fresno State has confirmed that Dutton is in “good standing” with the credential program. On the flip side Superintendent Mari Brabbin says the school board may have a statement on the Dutton issue Friday afternoon.

Dawnelle Dutton says she is thoroughly disappointed over the way in which this issue has been handled. She is now questioning her desire to ever teach again. Dutton is currently a teacher at Tioga High School.
