Angels Camp Christmas Parade Set For Saturday
The 20th annual Angels Camp Christmas Parade will take place Saturday morning beginning at 10am.
Bob Menary, the chairman of the parade, was Friday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.
According to Menary, this years route will run from St. Patricks Church through downtown before coming to and end at Vallecito Road (the old highway 4).
Menary, who is also the President of the Angels Camp Business Association, invites everyone who watches and participates in the parade to stick around as there will be a “merchant open house” throughout the community for the rest of the day concluding with caroling at 4:30 and the lighting of the Christmas tree at 5pm.
The Calaveras Visitors Center will be a center point of the community, as Santa will be there after the parade to meet with the children and have his picture taken with them.
The “Newsmaker of the Day” is heard each weekday morning on AM 1450 KVML at 6:47, 7:47 and 8:47am.
